Welcome to Fisherman's Landing Church

Our Mission here at Fisherman's Landing Church:

.....revealing God the Creator of the great outdoors as God the Savior and friend of great outdoorsmen.

I know the thrill that comes at the moment of truth when your sights are on one of Northern Michigan's whitetail bucks. I have experienced the rush of adrenaline that runs through your veins when you draw your bow on a UP black bear. I have hunted mule deer in Wyoming, whitetails in Montana, black bear in New Brunswick, and elk in the Rockies.

I've hunted mountain buffalo at 50 degrees below zero in Canada's Yukon Territories. I love the thrill of hearing a spring gobbler respond to my call on a crisp April morning. I can't wait to set the hook on my next river run steelhead. I am exhilarated by the throbbing of a strong German brown on my Loomis graphite rod. Throughout the spring and summer, bluegills, bass, northern pike, and walleye will also find their way into my repertoire of time on the water. I love God's creative genius and I take advantage of it as often as I can.

"This isn't a sportsman's club or a hunting club...it's a church."

Perhaps you find this a strange way to introduce a church. You may even think that this preacher is a tad bit arrogant by way of his introduction. Before you throw me back for being something less than a "keeper", hear me out. I also know the thrill that I experienced when I asked Jesus Christ to become my personal Savior. I can tell you of the joy and satisfaction that I have experienced in my life for the last twenty six years as I have allowed Him to be my personal quide throught the adventure of life. Any moment that I have ever had in the woods or on the water, although enjoyed immensely, cannot begin to compare with the excitement, satisfaction, contentment, and peace that I have found in my service to Christ.

Fisherman's Landing Church is a place where outdoorsmen will be able to experience God's abundant grace and presence in their every day life. It is our belief that God the Savior and personal friend of the great outdoorsman. To that end we dedicate our lives.
Have you ever had someone tell you how great the fishing was or some fantastic hunting situation or even how much fun their group is having at a given event, and then not invite you to come along? It kind of makes you wonder why they bothered to tell you all about it. I want to take this opportunity to invite you to be a part of our camp at Fisherman's Landing Church. If this sounds like the kind of a church that you would like to be a part of, then please contact me. I would love to hear from you!
