| I would like to thank the community for all the support they have shown to our firefighters and all of the other volunteers. My husband (as well as many of the other local DNR firefighters) have been on numerous fires in the years past including wildfires out West. The only difference with this one is it is in our backyard and we are getting so many details as the days go on that we normally do not get when they are away so it is comforting to know that so many people care and are supporting them. So, thank you once again to all of the community, the Eagle for the awesome coverage, Gina for her pictures (my husband will love to look at them when he is able) and to all those who are praying for the safety. There are not words available to express our gratitude to the fire crews and the Newberry community for their efforts in fighting this fire. Some how a SINCERE.. heart felt.. "THANK YOU" doesn't seem to cover how we feel, but will have to do for now. We have enjoyed our "cabin in the woods" for a decade and a half now & Haila's family for over 70 yrs. We have felt accepted when we have come to town for supplies and appreciate the kindness that you as individual's and a community have shown us when we have had troubles. Our prayers and support will continue to be with you all. We are looking forward to the times that are ahead of us when we can return again to "The Moose Capital" The Hayner Family: Spile Dam Club |

| Words cannot express ones appreciation for all those who are giving so much of themselves to work on the fire. I live on 123 1 1/2 miles north of the Murphy Creek, It was a comfort having the Newberry Fire Department in our yard to assist us and that throughout the night we hear the workers in our area still keeping a watch to keep us safe. My prayers are with all workers, DNR, Fire Departments, law enforcement, National Guards all those who have come into our area to assist. Please KEEP YOURSELF SAFE. Again Thank you |

| Thank you for everything you are doing to save our land up there. We have a cabin and are a member of the Spile Dam Club. We enjoy going up there at least twice or more a year. We actually have plans to go on vacation at our cabin at the end of this month and are hoping we will still be able to go. Again THANK'S to all of the firefighters and many volunteers who are working very hard to save cabins and homes to people they don't even know. What a wonderful blessing to know we have somebody out there we don't know and doing his or her best for our benefit. Praise be to God for creating us like him.
THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU

| Thanks to a great community for taking such wonderful care of our military that are up there assisting. It means alot to all of them. Most of them have just returned from deployments ranging from 9 months to 18 months (my husband). They are thrilled to be doing what they are meant to do as national guard- assisting in a stateside emergency.
Take time to let them know you appreciate what they do- it means more than any could truly understand.

| We want to tell everyone who is helping fight the fire how much they are appreciated. We also appreciate all the people who are trying to make life a little easier for the firefighters. They are doing a very hard job and you are showing them how important they are. Thank you, all of you!! May Gods hand be on your shoulders. |
