| Franks Lake Cabin-Ragged Rangers |
| We are headed up to our cabin on Franks Lake, just east of Taquamenon Lake on the 10th. I have been watching this fire intently and my family and I greatly appreciate the efforts of the firefighters and all who have helped to contain this fire. We know you are doing your best. Our cabin has been up there for over 40 years and holds many great memories for family and friends. So, once more, thanks to all of you fine folks! Let's pray this all comes to a safe end and soon! | here in tucson,arizona i can only thank and pray for the great firefighters,volunteers and citizens of the newberry area.i've spent most of my life in the area,staying at my cousins cabin at the high bridge and throughout the great U.P.,graduating from NMU,returning at least 2 times a year for the last 44.i'll be back in november.keep up the good work,hi to all and god bless!!! |

| My wife and I have owned a cabin in the Half Way lake area for 18 years. We love the place, it isn't a palace but its in God's Country. Our children and grand children love it as much. We were evacuated Tuesday and headed home. WE all want to thank The DNR,the National Guard, and every agency and person involved in fighting this terrible fire. We will return on Friday to lend morale support. Thanks again and may Gob bless you all. |
