Thank you for all your hard work up in Newberry. We have property across from Pine Stump Junction and a cabin that we have spent all our life at. We appreciate the updates everyday from up there since we are down state and everyone has done a wonderful job at keeping us posted. Thank you to the many brave firefighters risking their lives to save a very beloved piece of God's Country and protecting my brother-in-law's 80 acre camp off Widgeon Rd. I spent many camping trips as a teenager at Muskallonge Lake and Pratt Lake. My late Uncle Joe loved Luce County's forests and many fish-filled lakes. As a former downstater from the Detroit area (now living in Gaylord for 15 years), I always thought that I was in heaven when I visited those vast forests. And I know that God is looking out for this piece of heaven and all those who are protecting it. Thank you to the volunteers that keep our protectors going on. And, thank you Gina Harman, for all the wonderful pictures and information to let us know about the fire from far reaches (Please be careful). God Bless All!

I HAVE SEVERAL FAMILY MEMBERS LIVING IN MEWBERRY, SISTERS, BROTHER, NEPHEWS, NIECES, GREAT NIECES, GREAT NEPHEWS, AND ONE SISTER-IN-LAW, TWO BROTHER IN-LAWS. WANT TO THANK THE HEROIC FIREFIRERS FOR THE TREMENDOUS JOB THEY ARE DOING. ALSO, THE VOLUNTEERS. I LIVE IN THE DEROIT AREA, SUBURBS AND I AM VERY DISAPPOINRED IN THE COVERAGE THEY HAVE DONE. MAYBE I SHOULD SAY THEY HAVE NOT DONE. WHEN MY SISTER FIRST TOLD ME ABOUT THE FIRE, I EMAILED FOX 2 WONDERING WHY THERE WAS NO COVERAGE ABOUT THE U.P. FIRE. I HAD HEARD NOTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL I TALKED TO MY SISTER. EAGLE 96.7 AND GINA~~~~~THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH~~YOUR SITE IS SOOOOOOOOOO VERY INFORMATIVE. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!! I GO TO IT EVERY DAY. ALTHOUGH THE DETROIT STATIONS ARE NOW(FINALLY) REPORTING SOMETHING, NOTHING LIKE YOUR COVERAGE. GOD BLESS YOU!

You have our deepest thanks for all you are doing to save this beautiful land and the homes on it. We left Tuesday morning just before the closure of 407 and the evacuation of the northern end of the road with out hearts in our throats. What a joy to see the Wisconsin bulldozers and crew northbound. Thanks, too, for the great communications efforts by the DNR, radio stations, webmasters and caring folks. From our whole extended family, THANK YOU TO EVERY ONE FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE AND CONTINUE TO DO!

How do you thank someone who leaves their comfortable home to trudge through a burning forest to put out a fire? How do you thank them for puting their lives on the line to save our homes? How do you thank the pilots for working long hours in bad conditions to try and save our forest? All I can say is I am very glad they did. Keep up the good work I hope things go well so you can get back to your families soon. May God bless you and keep you. Thanks.
