| To all the firefighters and volunteers of the Sleeper Lakes Fire...Thank You For All You Do!!!! My Dad, John Gallagher, has been out there fighting the fire everyday since it started and I have seen the exhaustion, but commitment, to getting this fire put out firsthand. I have never been more proud of my Dad and the town of Newberry for pulling together through this awful situation. Without their dedication and commitment to everyone's safety, who knows what could have happened. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You all remain in my thoughts and prayers. |

| Thank you so much for all that you've done and continue to do to control this volitable situation. I was hiking the North Country Trail near that area a couple days before the fire started and it was obvious that the dry conditions could fuel a forest fire. Thank you - thank you - thank you - for everything you are doing to save our beautiful UP !!!! |

| I haven't been to the Newberry area in 25 years since I moved here to Texas. My brother still has 25 acres just west of Stuart Lake. We have planned a memorial trip to the area last part of September, as my dad has recently passed away. We took many fantastic vacations in the area long ago.I want to thank everyone for all your hard work in preserving a great area. God bless you! |
