Highlights from
CREATING A BEAR HOME - "Ranch in U.P. draws visitors from all over the world"
Detroit Free Press By Writer Alan R. Kamuda
"Bears are everywhere. They're in the front yard, the back yard & alongside the house." Writes Alan R. Kamuda after his visit to the Oswald Bear Ranch.
"The DNR would call me with an abandoned cub asking when I could handle another one," Oswald said. "Someone would buy a newborn bear cub, then couldn't handle them when they were 2 years old and call me up asking if I could take it. A neglected bear would need a new home. It just started to grow & never stopped."
