The Setting
The Taquamenon River was made famous in the Longfellow poem Hiawatha. According to Indian lore, the origin of the name Tahquamenon is attributed to the water's amber color. It is the largest waterfall east of the Mississippi, second in size to Niagara.

The rustic decor follows the foresight of it's founders, Jack and Mimi Barrett, grandparents of the current owners. The surrounding State Park and Camp 33 echo these visions and together bring an experience for all to see and enjoy! Visitors Come and experience a place that is warm, beautiful, charming,
and historical!

Rustic Upper Peninsula of Michigan Charm.

"One of the best places to ride in the state of Michigan, possibly the nation. Trail conditions were excellent. Groomer Operators do a great job. The Tahquamenon Falls are cool and the Brewery Pub has great whitefish...coming back for dinner!"
