Luce County is located in the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. With over 1,900 square miles, this county contains a vast number of forests, rivers and lakes. It is well known for the Tahquamenon River, the Upper Tahquamenon Falls, Hemingway’s Big Two Hearted River, small communities, and incredible seasons. Luce County has over 300,000 acres of public access lands for you to explore. Luce County Airport ERY is conveniently located for visitors who wish to fly-in.

Tahquamenon Falls State Park
According to Indian Lore, the origins of the name of this incredible waterfall comes from the water’s amber color that derives from the tannic acid that seeps from the cedar swamps. This is the second largest waterfall east of the Mississippi.
